The Greatest Show On Ice

What else did I see in up north....? A few moose, lots of snow and the World Ice Art Championships

AMAZING!!!
Take some time to look at my pictures, but be sure to see the Ice Alaska website for a look at the finished sculptures. I had no idea ice could be so cool!

For the love of Dogs!

While in Alaska, I watched a bit of the Jr. North American Championship Sled Dog Race in Fairbanks. The owners and spectators were amazing and kind, to me and to the dogs. The kids were great, even when dogs wanted to sniff and not run... which was not often. As for the dogs... they may be athletes, but they are still dogs, which meant I was up to my neck with dog hair and kisses from as many as possible!!!

Some Northern Exposures

I just got back from a weekend in Fairbanks, Alaska. Anyone who thinks Nebraska is cold, needs to realize how good we have it!! With my first day up north having a high temp of -15, makes Omaha seem almost tropical. It is a beautiful state and everyone should see it at least once!

Here are a few pics to hold you until I get the rest posted! Coming soon...Dog Sled Races and Ice Carving Championships.
