Kids with Cameras

I just finished watching Born into Brothels, a documentary that follows several children who live in the red light district of Calcutta. All I can say is this film is fantastic. Zana Briski, a New York based photographer, gives each of the kids a camera and teaches them about photography. These Kids with Cameras are truly an inspiration to us all. Murder Mystery

Kate and Stephanie organized a murder mystery that took place at the studio. Our first experience with a murder mystery made for some interesting costumes and tested our acting ability.
Someone in this group was at fault. Any guesses?

Dog + Cats + Kids=Crazy

Swanson Russell and Associates hired us to shoot photographs that would be used on packaging for a national pet care company, Sergeants. Getting the pet and child combinations to sit and stay was hard at times, but we had a lot of fun.

Delayed and Cancelled

We finally made it. Stephanie and I left for NY today for a shoot with the University of Nebraska Foundation.
After our departure flight was delayed, we missed our connecting flight in Detroit (which was later cancelled) and the heavy falling snow outside the airport merely added to our fears of not making it. With four hours of waiting under our belts, and three more approaching, we decided to shoot a few images of Detroit's newest terminal. Check out some of our images in the Gallery. Needless to say, if you're ever going to be stuck in an airport- this one is pretty cool.

Kauai, Hawaii

This week Patty, Brennan (our daughter) and I are shooting for CE Lifestyles/ vacationing on the island of Kauai. While here I've been experimenting with the Lensbaby, a selective focus lens for our Canon digital cameras.
