Basket Cam on The Coconut Coast of Kauai
The coast of Kauai is a good a spot as any to hook up the 5D Mark II to the basket of a tandem bicycle.

Our new Canon 5D's went from the box to the field in record time. Andrew and Mike were armed with the new gear. Look for more video from the 5D as we continue to put it through it's paces.

I've put together a fairly random gallery of images from our annual decompression trip the island of Kauai. This year we spent a few days shooting for Mad Gringo so our knowledge of the island was a big help in finding some nice locations. It's our ninth trip to Kauai and each year I seem to shoot more images. Enjoy! Click here to view the gallery.

As I inch closer to my 25th year as a photographer I still wake up each morning of a shoot antsy with anticipation for the day ahead. I'm excited to get another day of using my camera to see into other places and lives.
A few weeks ago while shooting up Winona, Minnesota for my good friends at Saint Mary's University I had to the opportunity to shoot a dance class. Click here to see a slideshow of the images.

Little busy during the holidays to post this movie but I thought it was still worth sharing. We shot this with our high frame rate (8fps) camera. Just another example of how the world of photography is converging with other forms of content creation.

Growing up I was always intrested in what was going on behind the attraction at an amsusment park. I'd love that ah... moment when I figured out how something was created. I thought it would be fun to share one of those moments with you.
Recently we were shooting room sets in a large warehouse type building. Take a look behind curtain.

I've restarted, for the upteenth time, my efforts to keyword all my older work. The effort reminds of the joy of creating abstract images, as I dig deeper I'll continue share.

The Malone & Company Photography crew; Stephanie, Jamie and I spent a week recently shooting in Oregon. We shot near Newport which is a bit touristy but still worth a visit. The beer selection at Rogue Brewery in Newport was huge and the Mocha Porter I enjoyed was top notch. We also shot in and around Portland but didn't have much time for sight seeing as we shot the lights out. 7,000 images and over 70gb of images made for long nights editing and backing up all the images. Near Portland the Scappoose Bay Kayaking company provided support for the shooting on the water.
All the talent and support help made the shoot an enormous success!

While on a shoot yesterday at an elementary school I had a few moments to play. We are lucky, work and play tend to blur into one.

Some behind the scenes fun from a recent shoot for the midwest's finest brewery. The crew at Upstream Brewing not only cook up some of the finest beer and food in Omaha but they are also very cool to work with. Brew-master Zach- along with his brewers are creating beer which needs to be tasted to be believed. Look for their new website with our photography soon.
